The Association of Jewish Sponsored Camps (AJSC) began in 1962
and now represents nearly 40 not-for-profit children and adult
camps. All of our Camps serve those in the Greater New York area,
and are within a few hours of New York City.
The Association of Federation Camps (AFC) is a partnership of
the 11 UJA-Federation NY area overnight non-profit Jewish Summer
Camps. The AFC seeks to promote the Jewish Federation Camps and
acts as a collegial planning group for the camps Directors. The
group includes overnight camps, special needs camps and adult
camps.
- AFC member camps are ALL non-profit Jewish Camps
serving the greater New York area.
- The inclusion of a camp in this directory only indicates
membership in the AFC. All information has been provided by the
individual camps, and not independently collected. The decisions
as to the appropriateness of the facilities, program, and
Kashruth observance are solely the responsibility of the family
and should be made on the basis of personal contact or
correspondence with the camp.
- The AFC does not oversee run any of the camps.
Specific questions and concerns should be brought directly to the
individual camp
- The AFC does not provide any direct scholarship
money. For additional information about camp scholarships,
